The recording studio is now open for booking 7 days a week for singers of all standards to come and record their very own CD. Whether it be a bit of fun or a demo CD for professional singers or up & coming pop stars.

The studio is based on the same premises as our retail shop near Guildford, in Surrey.

We have state of the art recording equipment with amazing features that will ensure the best quality recording possible.

Our professional engineers will help you every step of the way with your vocals and make sure they get the best out of you! Then edit the track to make it sound perfect.

You can bring your own backing track CD’s or choose a track from our catalogue, which consists of thousands of top quality backing tracks. If you decide to use a track from our catalogue, we have a screen in the vocal booth that will display the song lyrics in time with the music to help you along. If you don’t have a copy of the track you want to sing at the time of booking, we will send you a copy so that you can practice at home ready for the recording session.

Not only that, we have a gorgeous waiting room with comfy sofa’s, refreshments and even a pool table so your friends & family can come and enjoy the experience with you!

You will leave the recording session with not one, but three copies of your very own CD. We can organise personalised disc descriptions printed on the top side of the disc if required at a small extra cost.

What is CDG?

CDG (or CD+G) stands for compact disc plus graphics. A CDG Karaoke disc contains an additional track, which displays the song lyrics on a TV when played on a Karaoke player. The words to the song are typically displayed on a blue background and are highlighted in a contrasting color to signal when the words should be sung. The CDG format is the Karaoke standard for most of the world's Karaoke.

CDG Karaoke disks require a special Karaoke player called a Karaoke CDG Player. A Karaoke CDG player is similar to a regular CD player, except that it has an additional chip for reading the graphics track of a CDG. In addition, a CDG Karaoke Player also has a place to plug in a microphone, a key controller to adjust for the singer's key, and an echo control to enhance the singer's voice.

It is easy to set up a CDG Karaoke player. Take the player out of the box, plug the yellow cord from your CDG Karaoke player into the back of your TV to display the song lyrics and you are ready to sing.

Please note there are no videos or movie clips on a CDG disc.

What are DVD Karaoke Discs?

DVD Karaoke disks are generally replications of the Video CD Karaoke discs. The video background on a DVD Karaoke Disk is much higher quality than a Video CD disc, however, currently there is no additional music, improved sound quality, or special DVD features. DVD Karaoke disks tend to be higher priced and there is less selection of songs.

A normal DVD player will play both the DVD and Video CD Karaoke disks. However, a Karaoke DVD Player has additional features such as microphone inputs, key changer, and echo control.

What is MP3+G? 

MP3+G is the newest format for karaoke music. There are 2 files stored on the disc, an MP3 file and a Graphics file. An MP3 is a compressed audio file. The graphics file is what you see on the screen. This format has the advantage of having a lot more songs on one disc compared to a CD+G since MP3 files are a lot smaller than CD+G files. This format will only play on MP3+G players for example all Star-singer Karaoke Players .
